About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (or equivalent), you will oversee all financial operations and provide accurate, timely reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
* Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including management accounts and board reporting
* Prepare and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with operational leads
* Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll reconciliations, and general ledger integrity
* Manage compliance with ACFI/AN-ACC funding, NDIS, and aged care regulatory reporting requirements
* Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and government bodies as required
* Drive process improvement and implement robust internal controls
* Mentor and develop a small finance team
Qualifications
* CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent), with 5+ years post-qualification experience
Required Skills
* Demonstrated experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance management role
* Strong technical accounting knowledge (AASB standards, tax compliance)
* Exposure to the aged care, health, or community services sector highly regarded
* Confident communicator, able to translate financial information for non-finance stakeholders
* Experience with aged care software (e.g. Epicor, TechOne, or similar) an advantage
* A genuine commitment to the mission of aged care is valued. You don't need a lifetime of sector experience — but you do need the desire to apply your skills in an organisation where finance directly supports people's quality of life.
