Employment Type: Temporary full time up to 30 June 2026 with a possibility of extension or ongoing.
Salary- Clerk Grade: 5/6 - $99, ,271 plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
Multilingual NSW Whole of Government Translation Services provides language services to NSW Government agencies to remove language as a barrier to increase access to information and government services. The Translations Project Coordinator provides support in the administration and coordination of translation projects and other initiatives, managing processes, briefing documents, materials and documents that deliver on organisational objectives.
What you'll do
1. Coordinate and support the delivery of translation projects including source material analysis, translator briefs, project allocation and tracking status, quality assurance checks, and follow up to meet often urgent deadlines.
2. Develop and keep up-to-date a wide range of materials and project documentation, such as, templates, processes and procedures, to ensure timely and accurate approaches to the highest standard.
3. Undertake a range of administrative duties that support program activities and initiatives, including preparation of papers, minutes and reporting, as well as tasks related to customer enquiries, system updates and compliance.
4. Support the development and maintenance of data and reports on project quality and outcomes, as well as stakeholder feedback.
What we're looking for
We are looking for motivated and committed individuals with:
5. At least 3 years relevant working experience and/or in a related discipline
6. Qualifications in translation or interpreting studies, with sound understanding of translation/interpreting best practice principles and standards
7. Working experience in the use of translation management systems for end-to-end project delivery, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, desktop publishing software and variety of source files
8. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to manage high volume projects as part of translation workflow
