We're partnering with a highly respected Federal Government agency within the health and wellbeing sector to recruit an energetic and client‑focused
Service Support Officer
.

This role sits within a frontline service environment that supports individuals and families accessing mental health and wellbeing services. You'll be the welcoming face of the centre and the operational heartbeat behind a busy regional clinical team.

Location:
Townsville, QLD

Contract:
12 months + possible extension

Hours:
Full‑time, 37.5 hrs/week

Clearances
:
**Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship Essential)

Rate:**
$47.00–$50.49/hour plus super

What You'll Be Doing
In this fast‑paced, people‑centred role, you will:

Frontline Customer Service

* Act as the first point of contact for clients and
* Assist with appointment arrivals and client check‑ins via the organisation's client management system
* Manage enquiries, provide accurate information, and triage to relevant service teams.

Operational & Administrative Support

* Provide essential admin support to regional managers and clinical teams.
* Coordinate logistics for events, programs, meetings, and community activities..
* Process correspondence, referrals, client allocations and appointment details

General Office & Facility Support

* Manage inboxes, deliveries, travel bookings, invoices, maintenance requests and supplies.
* Support compliance with WHS, diversity, APS standards and internal policies

What We're Looking For

* Experience in administration, customer service, or service delivery: ideally within health, government, or community services
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Professional, empathetic interpersonal style.
* Confident working with vulnerable individuals and sensitive information.
* Comfortable working in a structured, policy‑driven environment.
