Primarily, we provide products and services in underground coal and metal mines in Australia. We make and sell rock bolts and consumables that provide reinforcement to underground openings as well as specialty grouts. Our teams on mine sites install our designed ventilation controls daily as well as provide emergency response to mines when they experience ground control failures.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Administrator to join our dynamic Operations team based in Mackay. This is a fast-paced and varied role that plays a critical part in supporting site operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality administrative support across the business.
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end administrative support to the Operations team while maintaining strong communication with Site Supervisors, contractors, and key stakeholders.
This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with operational leadership in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, correspondence, and reception duties
* Coordinate monthly operational reporting, including maintaining project statistics and dashboards
* Manage supplier and subcontractor coordination, including setting up and maintaining accounts
* Raise purchase orders, process requisitions, and support expense reconciliation (SAP)
* Coordinate employee site inductions, training, and medicals
* Maintain and update training records and compliance reporting
* Support site leadership with meeting preparation, travel bookings, and reporting
* Assist with audit preparation and operational initiatives
* Organise meetings, venues, and catering
* Maintain operational contact lists and documentation
Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E)
* Promote and contribute to a strong safety culture
* Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions
* Assist with maintaining Site Safety Management Plans and compliance documentation
* Coordinate employee medicals and safety-related requirements
About You
You are a detail-oriented administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting operational teams.
You will bring:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative role, ideally within mining or resources
* Strong systems experience, including SAP, Business Central (desirable), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to multitask
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
