The Role
As a P&C Business Partner, you'll play a hands-on and trusted role in bringing our global People & Culture strategy to life in Australia. Acting as the first point of contact for general P&C queries, you'll provide practical, timely and people-focused support to managers and employees across the business.
This role blends business partnering with strong operational ownership. You'll support employee experience, learning and development, employee relations, and talent initiatives, while also owning key local P&C operations such as visas, parental leave and WGEA reporting.
Based in Australia, you'll work closely with global P&C colleagues to ensure consistency while tailoring approaches to local needs.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of People & Culture Strategy:
* Execute global P&C strategies within Australia, aligning them to local business needs and cultural context.
* Provide on-the-ground support for the delivery of the P&C agenda.
* Support change initiatives through clear communication, coordination and stakeholder engagement.
* Partner closely with regional and global P&C colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of people experiences.
* Employee Experience & Engagement
* Act as a first point of contact for Australian P&C queries, providing approachable, practical and people-focused guidance.
* Drive and support the delivery of our annual global employee engagement plan (encompassing health and wellbeing, social, DE&I and CSR initiatives).
* Use employee feedback and data to identify opportunities to improve engagement and experience.
* Support the delivery of internal communications in partnership with P&C and business stakeholders.
* Contribute to ad-hoc P&C projects that improve employee experience and operational effectiveness.
Operational Support & Compliance:
* Own and manage operational P&C activities including visas, WorkCover, parental leave, and WGEA reporting.
* Support the delivery of local Talent Acquisition coordination in partnership with our global P&C Operations & Shared Services team.
* Support the delivery of our internship program, including sourcing interns via Universities and coordinating commencement.
* Ensure P&C practices comply with Australian employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain and update P&C documents, policies and procedures as required by changing legislation or business needs.
* Take personal responsibility for adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Maintain a centralised knowledge base and process documentation to support consistency and efficiency.
Employee Relations Management:
* Manage routine performance, conduct and grievance matters, providing fair, consistent and timely guidance to managers and employees, and escalating where required.
* Build manager capability through coaching, practical advice and sharing best practice.
* Maintain a consistent and fair approach to Employee Relations matters, aligned with global frameworks and local legal requirements.
Performance, Development & Remuneration:
* Coordinate learning and development activities, including scheduling, communications and reporting.
* Deliver in-person and online Table Talk sessions to local and global employees.
* Support performance review cycles and assist with performance and remuneration administrative initiatives where appropriate.
* Assist with equity administration and related processes as required.
Trusted Advisor and Support Partner:
* Build strong relationships with managers and employees across the business.
* Provide practical, day-to-day P&C support that enables leaders to build engaged, high-performing teams.
* Act as a sounding board and trusted advisor, helping people navigate workplace matters with confidence.
* Share ideas, insights, and feedback with the wider P&C team to support continuous improvement.

* Proven experience as a P&C Business Partner in a fast-paced, global, and evolving organisation.
* Strong capability across both strategic partnering and hands-on P&C operations.
* Demonstrated ability to credibly engage with managers and employees and act as a trusted advisor.
* Solid knowledge of Australian employment legislation and employee relations best practice.
* Confidence managing routine ER matters with empathy and professionalism.
* A global mindset with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience supporting employee engagement, learning and development, and performance processes.
* A creative, modern, practical and solutions-focused approach with a genuine interest in improving the employee experience.
