Job Title: Project Manager
\
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a dynamic team in delivering capital projects for the community.
\
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring skilled civil and/or municipal construction and maintenance activities are undertaken to Council Standards, Australian Standards or Australian Quality Framework performance standards (as is appropriate).
\
Some of the key responsibilities include:
\

* Coordinate and ensure skilled civil and/or municipal construction and maintenance activities are undertaken to Council Standards, Australian Standards or Australian Quality Framework performance standards (as is appropriate).
\
* Undertake site inspections/audits to determine compliance with methodology, Master Schedule, Environment and Safety controls, including assessment of methodology effectiveness.
\
* Organise and co-ordinate an internal work group team to ensure the delivery of nominated capital works projects in strict accordance with established procedures, practices, and specifications.
\
* Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
\
* Manage and mitigate risks associated with projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
\
* Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or variances that may impact project delivery.
\
* Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that all project deliverables meet quality and safety standards.
\
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and council representatives.
\
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
\
* Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant policies and procedures.
\
* Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
\
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
\
* Perform other duties as required by the Director, Works and Field Services.
\

Key Requirements:
\
\
1. Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or business administration.
\
2. Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, preferably in a local government or construction industry setting.
\
3. Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
\
4. Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
\
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
\
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
\
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
\
8. Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training.
