As part of our Metals team, you will contribute to projects that support the global energy transition – working across commodities such as lithium, rare earths, copper, gold, and alumina. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in technically complex projects that are shaping the future of the minerals industry. We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer who is ready to step into a more influential role, combining strong technical capability with leadership, client engagement, and the ability to guide project outcomes from early‑stage studies through to delivery. Responsibilities
Lead process engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept studies to detailed design and commissioning support. Take ownership of key deliverables and contribute to technical decision‑making across multidisciplinary teams. Manage early‑stage studies, including concept and pre‑feasibility, with a focus on process development and optimisation. Design and optimise metallurgical flowsheets for both greenfield and brownfield projects. Conduct trade‑off studies to support value‑driven engineering decisions. Develop process models using tools such as METSIM or SysCAD to optimise performance. Prepare process design documentation, including calculations, specifications, and equipment data sheets. Support client engagement, contribute to proposals, and mentor junior engineers. Qualifications
Experience working in a consulting, EPCM, or operational environment within the minerals processing or metallurgical industry, with strong technical capability across hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, or mineral processing. Experience working with a range of commodities such as lithium, nickel, copper, gold or rare earths, along with proficiency in process simulation tools. Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering. Strong analytical thinking, clear communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Comfortable engaging with clients, contributing to studies, and either working towards or having achieved qualified chartership. Benefits
