About the Role
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a member of our Board, you will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and strategy of our organisation.
As a volunteer position, this opportunity is ideal for those who want to make a meaningful impact while giving back to their community.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure the integrity of our organisation and uphold our values
* Provide strategic guidance and oversight
* Maintain a deep understanding of our programmes and activities
* Exercise financial stewardship and ensure effective resource management
* Evaluate and mitigate risks
* Comply with governance standards
You will be expected to dedicate approximately 15-20 hours per month to Board work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Proven leadership and strategic thinking skills
* Demonstrated experience in finance, digital marketing, or campaigns
* A deep understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social context of Pasifika people
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
In addition, it would be beneficial to have skills in corporate governance, environmental campaigning, fundraising, research, and scientific literacy.
