Laurel House is seeking an experienced and committed counselling professional to become a valued member of the team in Launceston, to support services across North and North West Tasmania.
Job Details:
* This is a fixed-term part-time position available until December 2026.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a high standard of clinical practice working with victim-survivors of sexual assault and children and young people with harmful sexual behaviour.
* Develop and deliver training programs for young people and adult learners on topics related to sexual assault and trauma-informed care.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services to victim-survivors of sexual assault.
* Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to legislative requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in counselling, social work, psychology, or equivalent qualification.
* Occupational therapy with mental health accreditation is also considered.
