About the business
Geelong Access Hire Pty Ltd is an established regional construction access and services business, operating for over six years across Geelong and Regional Victoria. We supply access equipment and skilled trade support to commercial construction, infrastructure, and industrial clients. Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, we are seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team.
The role
This is a skilled trade position involving commercial and construction painting works across multiple customer sites. The role regularly involves working at heights using access equipment.
Key duties include:
* Surface preparation including sanding, patching, sealing and priming
* Application of paints, protective coatings and finishes to commercial and construction projects
* Working safely at heights using EWPs and scaffolding
* Reading and interpreting job specifications and site requirements
* Ensuring all work complies with WHS and quality standards
* Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, safe work environment
Skills & experience required
* Relevant trade qualification in Painting & Decorating or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience
* Proven experience in commercial and/or construction painting
* Ability to work at heights (EWP licence highly regarded)
* Strong understanding of construction site safety requirements
* Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
