Job Description
This role serves as a bridge between customers and production, responsible for translating customer orders into technical drawings and releasing documentation to production teams.
* Preparing job files for manufacturing use from customer orders, including parts detail drawings, fabrication lists, bills of material, packing slips, and other miscellaneous information.
* Acts as a liaison between customer and company on engineering matters regarding product application, installation, and services.
* Provide customer service assistance on field installation issues, repairs, quality problems, or other customer problems.
* Ensures products meet the organization's and customers' quality and product integrity requirements.
* Supports product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
* Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building high-quality products.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and five years' experience
* Proficiency in SolidWorks and DraftSight (or similar)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, co-workers and manufacturing personnel.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience in the utility industry is a plus
