$37.40 – $39.80/hour
Hope Christian College invites applications for the position of Canteen Manager (0.65 – 0.8 FTE by negotiation over 5 days during school terms), who actively supports the Christian education aims of the College, who will be responsible for the overall management and daily operation of the College canteen and its staff. This includes oversight of food preparation and student lunch orders, maintaining standards of food safety and compliance, and serving as the first point of contact for canteen enquiries.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the canteen and supervise canteen staff
* Oversee and participate in food preparation and student lunch orders
* Maintain high food safety standards and knowledge of dietary requirements
* Ordering, purchasing, and budgeting
* Provide counter service and operate POS/cash register for over-the-counter sales
* Occasional assistance with College events involving catering, food preparation, and sales
Skills & Abilities
* Experience in a canteen or similar environment an advantage
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
* Relevant food safety and food handling qualifications
