Position Overview
The Community Registered Nurse is responsible for conducting comprehensive nursing assessments primarily via telephone and developing tailored care plans. While most assessments and client interactions are performed remotely, occasional travel for in person home visits may be required when clinically necessary.
This role also provides leadership and support to care staff, ensuring that client care aligns with the organisation’s philosophy and enhances the quality of life for individuals living in the community. The nurse will work collaboratively with clients, families, and health professionals to deliver high quality, person centred care.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high quality care to clients in their homes.
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 12 months clinical experience.
- Strong clinical nursing skills, including wound care, medication management, diabetes, and cognitive assessments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while managing a diverse caseload.
- Demonstrated understanding of aged care rights and compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- A current Queensland Open Drivers License and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- A national Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
