About the Role
As a General Practitioner with Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Ltd (KAMS), you will deliver comprehensive primary health care services aligned with best practice standards, particularly within the ACCHO Model of Care.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop high-quality health services, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation. This role includes travel to various remote communities and active participation in local health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver clinical primary health care services at remote clinic sites and headspace Broome, including emergency care and telehealth clinics.
Engage in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to the improvement of clinical practices.
Supervise and mentor General Practice Registrars and junior medical staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Participate in community health programs and contribute to clinical leadership within the organisation.
A strong communicator and team player is required, willing to work within remote Aboriginal communities and able to provide care to patients in a culturally appropriate manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Current AHPRA registration with no conditions.
Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
Experience in managing emergencies in remote settings and strong interpersonal skills.
Understanding of Aboriginal culture and effective communication skills with Aboriginal people.
