About the role
This role is based within Surgical Services Theatres at John Hunter Hospital, a fast‑paced and high‑acuity environment where cleanliness and infection control are critical to patient safety.
As a Hospital Assistant Grade 2, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across theatre areas. Your work will directly support clinical teams and contribute to safe, high‑quality care for patients. This is a hands‑on role requiring reliability, attention to detail and a strong understanding of priority cleaning and infection control standards.
About you
* Has basic hospital cleaning skills and an understanding of infection control and priority cleaning standards
* Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in their work
* Is hardworking, reliable, punctual and positive in their approach
* Works well independently and as part of a team
* Has previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
