Electrical Apprentice
Western Power offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while helping keep WA's energy network strong, safe and reliable.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems and learning how complex electrical systems operate in the real world.
The 4-year program combines on-the-job training alongside experienced Electrical Tradespersons with classroom-based learning to develop technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Work safely and follow dynamic risk control procedures
* Install and assemble substation equipment for upgrades and new builds
* Maintain high voltage equipment and identify faults to support network reliability
* Conduct high voltage testing and interpret results to meet industry standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Completed Year 11 (including passes in English and Maths)
* Hold a WA 'C' Class Driver's Licence
* Be 18+ by 9 February 2026
* Communicate well and work in a team
* Show strong work ethic and commitment to safety
