Role
The Grade 2 Occupational Therapists provides mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions for vulnerable youth/ emerging adults and their families. The role is embedded within a multi-disciplinary team and provides support to young people (aged 18-25 years) with complex mental health needs. The YCTT offers flexible service delivery, with a combination of clinic-based, outreach, group and telehealth appointments.
The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist uses specialist knowledge and skills to conduct client assessment and intervention independently, incorporating remedial, compensatory, educational and preventative strategies to achieve optimal evidence-based consumer care and to support consumer health and well-being through occupation and consideration of the person and their environment.
The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist role is within the YCTT and works collaboratively with broader Young Person’s Mental Health Service and Monash Health Mental Health Program. The role is for Occupational Therapists with training, qualifications and experience in assessing and providing mental health interventions for young people who present with complex mental health problems and associated risk factors.

About You
As the successful applicant, you will have strong knowledge in mental health and neuro diversity, have excellent organisation skills and experience in working in mental health case managing and also completing Occupational Therapy assessments. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate that they have:
1. Experience with Youth mental health
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
3. Strong organisational & time management skills
4. Completing appropriate Occupational Therapy assessments
