"SportsFit Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology"
Who Are We?
* Formerly "Mitch Lenkic Sports Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology". This private practice has operated in Taree under a sole practitioner, Mitch Lenkic, for 6.5 years.
* The new change of business name represents two things: 1 - the type of clientele we most commonly treat (those active in sports and fitness), and 2 - an opportunity for a new employee to create their own name and build their own clientele, without working under someone else's banner.
* We are located inside a fully equipped gym, Snap Fitness Taree. There is a private treatment room and you will have full access to all gym equipment for treating patients. Employees are entitled to a free membership to Snap Fitness Taree and the entire Snap Fitness network.
* SportsFit Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology specialises in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and exercise prescription for gym and home based exercise programs.
* We treat a wide variety of patients under Medicare, Private health, NDIS, WorkCover, Aged Care, and DVA.
* We have close relationships with local GPs, sporting teams and other businesses.
* We have a dedicated team of reception staff trained in gym operations and allied health to support your administrative needs.
What we're looking for...
* We have one treatment room available which will be shared between two practitioners (not on the same day, of course). We need someone who is either experienced or confident enough to work independently, 2-3 days per week, or 4-6 days per fortnight.
* Our treatment room is currently available Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This may be altered depending on your circumstances.
* Pay rate is negotiable and depends on your experience. We are open to a percentage based income.
* There is an annual allowance for CPD courses. Monthly, in-house training/CPD will also be included.
* New graduates are welcome to apply.
* We do not use any electrotherapy (interferential, ultrasound etc.) or leave patients in a room with a heat pack. We are 1 on 1 with our patients, providing high quality hands on treatment, dry needing therapy, taping/splinting/bracing, advice/education and a very high standard of exercise prescription
* We would prefer someone who shares the same passion for musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy and is flexible with family and other commitments in case there is a demand for extra hours.
* We provide weekend sports physiotherapy services to local sporting clubs. This work is optional, but it is a great way to keep up your acute sports injury management skills and support the local sporting teams that we sponsor.
What you'll need...
* AHPRA registration, Police Check, WWCC, Professional Indemnity Insurance, First Aid & CPR, Medicare & WorkCover provider numbers, and Sports Trainer level 1 or 2 (for weekend sports coverage - optional).
* A high level of verbal and written communication skills.
* Passion, empathy and a high level of knowledge and skills to get the best outcome for your patients.
* Ability to liaise with Doctors, allied health providers, support workers, support coordinators, case managers, and other personnel to coordinate the most effective care for your patients.
* The ability to work independently and in a team.
* A great sense of humour - we always want to have fun
