The Role
This role will support the end-to-end delivery of a flagship apartment development, working closely with senior development leadership across design, approvals, procurement, construction and post‐completion phases. Acting as the developer's representative, you will be involved in coordinating consultants, managing stakeholders, monitoring programme and cost, and ensuring projects are delivered in line with quality and commercial expectations.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the day-to-day management of development projects through delivery and completion phases
* Act as the developer's representative with consultants, contractors, authorities and stakeholders
* Coordinate design teams and manage the approvals process
* Monitor project programme, budget, risks and cashflow
* Prepare and contribute to internal reporting including financials and PCG updates
* Support procurement processes and contribute to commercial negotiations
* Attend site, consultant and stakeholder meetings; track actions and outcomes
* Assist with contract administration including RFIs, variations and EOTs
* Review builder progress claims alongside QS and provide recommendations
* Maintain project registers including variations, instructions and defects
* Coordinate practical completion, handover and defect management processes
* Ensure documentation, manuals and warranties are delivered at completion
Requirements
This role is well suited to candidates currently working in construction, contract administration or project coordination who are looking to transition to the client side and gain exposure to the full development lifecycle. It provides the opportunity to step beyond delivery and gain involvement across design, commercial strategy and stakeholder management within a developer environment.
* Relevant tertiary qualification (ideally Construction or Project Management)
* Experience in construction, contract administration or project coordination
* Exposure to residential or mixed‐use built‐form projects
* Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
* Ability to interpret contracts, budgets and cost plans
* High level of organisation and attention to detail
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
