We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Mental Health Social Worker/Psychologist or Counsellor to join our professional team as a contractor.
About the Role
As a contractor, you will provide high-quality therapeutic services to clients presenting with a range of mental health and emotional wellbeing concerns.
You will have autonomy over your caseload and schedule, with the benefit of working within a collaborative and values-driven practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver counselling and therapeutic interventions (face-to-face and/or via telehealth).
* Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate case notes.
* Provide client care aligned with ethical, professional, and legal standards.
* Participate in peer consultation and team meetings as appropriate.
* Maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development.
About You
You are a compassionate and motivated professional who values integrity, collaboration, and high-quality care.
Essential Criteria:
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work/Psychology or Counselling.
* Full registration with AASW (Accredited Mental Health Social Worker)/ AHPRA (Psychologist) or ACA (Counsellor).
* Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
* Current ABN and ability to work as an independent contractor.
* Excellent communication, time management, and record-keeping skills.
* Commitment to trauma-informed and client-centred practice.
Desirable:
* Experience working with NDIS participants, couples, children/individuals, veterans, or family systems.
* Proficiency in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, or trauma-focused therapy.
* Availability to provide some after-hours or telehealth sessions (optional).
