The Opportunity
Funds SA is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a
Graduate Accountant
to join our team. This role is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to a wide range of Finance Operations functions as part of a structured two-year Graduate Program. It's an outstanding chance to develop your skills, gain valuable industry experience, and build a strong foundation for a successful career in the financial services and investment management sector.
As a Graduate Accountant, you will play an integral role in supporting Funds SA's investment operations activities. You will work closely with experienced professionals within the Fund Accounting and Investment Operations teams, gaining experience in key processes and contributing to the delivery of high-quality outcomes. This collaborative environment will allow you to learn from experts in the field while developing your technical knowledge and professional capabilities.
Your Responsibilities
* Contribute to the preparation and review of daily and monthly reconciliations.
* Assist senior members of the team in undertaking periodic quality assurance processes.
* Identify issues or discrepancies and liaise with internal teams for resolution.
* Support the preparation of accounting and tax workings as required.
* Contribute to the preparation of various financially based reports.
* Assist with the preparation of fund placements and redemption instructions for alternative investments.
* Monitor alternative asset transactions and ensure processing is consistent with fund manager statements.
* Process transactions in Funds SA's private equity administration system within required timeframes.
* Process invoices and undertake general journal processing, bank reconciliation and fixed asset register maintenance.
* Build effective and positive working relationships with key stakeholders to encourage collaboration across the business.
* Participate in a range of development opportunities, including on the job training and attendance at relevant industry courses.
What You Will Bring
* A degree in finance, accounting or similar
