Your New Role
6 month max term contract
We're seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Data Sciences team.
In this role, you'll support the Actuarial Practice Lead in delivering key retirement initiatives and provide actuarial advice across a wide range of business areas.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
To provide actuarial and technical support for projects such as retirement solution design, pricing, defined benefit reporting, regulatory reporting, and policy submissions.
Develop a deep understanding of business problems and deliver actuarial solutions that add commercial value.
Support the development and maintenance of new models and reports, ensuring high-quality data and insights.
Learn and embed new technologies (e.g., data ecosystems, machine learning, advanced analytics, data visualization).
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Influence and guide stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes.
Identify value-driven use cases (e.g., cost reduction, member retention) and support business cases with robust metrics.
How do you exceed our expectations?
2+ years of actuarial work experience, ideally in superannuation or data analytics.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Studies, Econometrics, or Quantitative Finance.
Strong knowledge of actuarial methodologies and financial modeling.
Actuarial qualification (AIAA/FIAA) preferred but not required.
Proficiency in Matlab, R, Python, and Excel; basic to intermediate skills in SQL, PowerBI, and Microsoft Azure.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
