Quast Turkeys is seeking a reliable and experienced Process Worker - Leading Hand to join their team!Quast Turkeys are a small, family-owned business, with family-based ethics and integrity, situated 11 km north of Tamworth and breed, grow and process approximately 60,000 turkeys per year.
Your Role: Full-time, permanent position with consistent hours (38 hours per week).
Hands-on processing work with a leadership focus.
Support and motivate your team to maintain production standards.
Work closely with management to ensure smooth operations.
Essential Criteria Ability to manage, supervise and work within the daily duties associated with the butchering and packaging of turkeys, in accordance with company requirements and industry Standards and Guidelines.
Knowledge of HACCAP and associated requirements, or the willingness to obtain in a short timeframe, or willingness to learn.
Experience in operating machinery and equipment in an abattoir environment and capacity to problem-solve machinery or equipment operating failures.
Good communication skills with both staff and management.
Forklift licence, or willing to obtain this licence.
Possess the physical fitness to undertake the range of duties required.
