Neptune Homes is a growing residential builder delivering high-quality homes across Southeast Queensland. We are seeking an experienced Senior Draftsperson to join our team and produce high quality technical drawings and plans of residential homes from preliminary stages through to construction.
About the Role
* Produce and review residential drawings across all stages (concept, preliminary, contract, variations, construction issue)
* Producing a high level of detail and accuracy for standardised and custom homes.
* Produce plans sets that include and not limited to, site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, shadow diagrams.
* Ensure compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, council and covenant requirements for both QLD and NSW.
* Coordinate with Estimating, Pre-Site, Construction, Sales, engineers and certifiers.
* Carry out and review variations with a strong focus on buildability and accuracy.
* Provide guidance and technical support to other draftspersons within the team.
* Ability to handle special projects and high-level custom homes from concept through to construction and beyond.
* Provide guidance and technical support to other departments in relation to the plans and compliance items.
* Maintain high drafting and quality assurance standards.
About You
* Diploma in Building Design, Drafting, or a related qualification, or equivalent industry experience
* Strong residential drafting experience (volume builder experience preferred)
* High proficiency in ArchiCAD (essential)
* High level understanding of NCC and Australian Standards and Construction
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
* Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong initiative
