Restaurant Manager

The Glenelg Public House is looking for a confident, experienced Restaurant Manager to lead front-of-house operations and help shape the hospitality experience we're building here.
This is a venue built on quality produce, warm service and genuine hospitality. We need someone who understands what it takes to run a busy restaurant at a high standard while keeping the team engaged and guests looked after.
You'll work closely with our ownership group and General Manager and Executive Chef to ensure seamless operations, strong financial performance, and a culture that reflects our values.

The Role
The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to:
· Ensure customer satisfaction and experience at all times
· Ensure the profitable and safe operations of the restaurant
· Work together with our kitchen staff to help create innovative menus that will work well within our restaurant
· Meet budgets and financial targets
· Ensure orders are placed timely and efficiently as the restaurant requires
· Carefully monitor stock levels and maintain detailed records of stock movement
· Account for all financial transactions and reconcile figures daily
· Always ensure that health and safety regulations are met
· Being responsible for the restaurant's overall appearance, functionality and reservations
· Creating a personal rapport with customers and strive to exceed their expectations
· Selecting, training and developing new staff
· Managing and supervising floor and kitchen staff to ensure service standards are maintained
· Run service with confidence and consistency
· Coordinate with ownership on strategy, marketing and venue direction
· Step up and take full operational control as required
What We Require
· Diploma in Hospitality Management (preferred)
· Minimum 3 years' experience in a quality restaurant, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
· Strong leadership skills – calm, clear, consistent and respectful
· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
· Sound understanding of financial management, budgeting and cost control
· Proven ability to train, mentor and develop staff
· Knowledge of food safety, RSA and workplace health and safety requirements
· Be driven, love working with people and able to successfully lead a team
· Reliable, team-focused and ready to take ownership
