The Service Department plays a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of machinery.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance on equipment installed at customer sites;
* Travel to customer locations as needed to diagnose and rectify technical issues causing machine downtime;
* Proactively identify problems where machines are not operating at expected levels;
* Conduct machine services and rebuilds in the workshop as required;
* Offer technical phone support to customers when onsite attendance is not feasible;
* Liaise with management on service-related matters within Australia;
* Attend training courses related to machine operation as directed;
* Comply with safety guidelines and ensure risks are identified and controlled while working on customer sites and company offices.
Key Skills:
* A current Electrician's Licence OR be a trade qualified Fitter / Mechanic with a Restricted Electrical License;
* Experience in the food industry packaging or processing equipment is advantageous;
* Electronics skills and knowledge of PLC driven processes are mandatory;
* Advanced knowledge of motor, servomotor, and drive technology is beneficial;
* Ability to interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings to a component level;
* Willingness to work flexible hours, travel at short notice, and work weekends as required;
* Current Drivers License; and
* A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
