**Your Qualifications**

We are looking for a qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Professional that:

- Aboriginal Health Practitioner: Holds a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Aboriginal Health Worker: Holds or aspires to hold a minimum Certificate III qualification in Aboriginal Primary Health Care. Aboriginal Health Workers willing to obtain Cert IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) will be supported to transition to an Aboriginal Health Practitioner position upon completion and registration with AHPRA.
- Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability to travel as required.

**The Role**

There is a focus on prevention and management of chronic disease for Aboriginal clients and supporting them on their journey throughout custody back into community, particularly those with chronic or complex health conditions.

You will work collaboratively with nursing staff, Integrated Care Service, health professionals, Corrective Services NSW, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and other relevant health and community groups to ensure the delivery of seamless, timely and effective health care to Aboriginal clients.

**About the Locations**:
**Mid North Coast Correctional Centre**

This vacancy may be eligible for an incentive package with the following:
Mid North Coast Correctional Centre is a multi-security facility for male and female inmates, located in Aldavilla on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. It sits about 455 km north of Sydney and 14 km west of the regional town of Kempsey. The centre is set in a semi-rural area surrounded by farmland and bushland, offering a secure yet accessible location.

**Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre**

The Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) is a maximum-security facility for male offenders, serving as a primary intake and remand centre. It is one of three correctional facilities within the Silverwater Correctional Complex, located in Sydney's western suburbs. The centre's location provides easy access to courts and legal services, playing a vital role in managing the metropolitan remand population.

**Silverwater Women's Correctional Center**

Silverwater Women's Correctional Centre is a secure facility dedicated to housing female offenders. Located within the Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydney's western suburbs, it provides accommodation, support, and rehabilitation programs tailored specifically for women. The centre offers access to healthcare, education, and community services, playing a key role in the management and rehabilitation of female inmates in the metropolitan area.

**Salary and Benefits**
