Key Role

Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere. The Power Quality (PQ) division provides power management solutions including uninterruptable power supplies (UPS), surge protective devices, power distribution units (PDU), remote monitoring, software, power factor correction, airflow management, rack enclosures and services.

This highly visible role involves working closely with global R&D teams and local customers to strengthen relationships with key accounts and Data Centre Segment strategy. We are looking for a system specialist to establish strong relationships with clients and enhance current engineering capability in understanding grid requirements for large Data Centre connections.

The primary responsibility includes staying up-to-date with national grid related technical requirements, challenges, and National Electricity rules related to new customer power connections.


Key Responsibilities

* Account Management:
* Provide regular updates on upcoming technology/rule changes, identify gaps to be addressed and perform risk vs opportunity analyses.
* Collaborate with Eaton Global R&D team on modelling requirements such as PSCAD, PSSE, and PowerFactory.
* Assess and advise on new technology impacts in Data Centres, HVDC, BESS, and EV infrastructure integration.
* Customer Engagement:
* Participate in pre-sales processes to understand customer business, technical objectives, and project requirements.
* Understand customer pain points and actively engage to provide solutions.


Requirements

* 5+ years of experience within utility or energy sector as project engineer/project manager.
* Knowledge of power system modelling software such as PSCAD, PSSE; experience with BESS would be advantageous.
* Strong leadership, relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
