Our Perth team is the national centre of excellence in rolling stock maintenance depot and manufacturing facility design, with successful projects in Western Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales, setting industry benchmarks and influencing the national rolling stock manufacturing renaissance.
The scope of projects is diverse, including onboard/in-cab signalling in brownfield railways, new train procurement and certification, rolling stock maintenance optimisation, and heavy haul and freight decarbonisation.
How will your ideas contribute to shaping what's next?
Due to key projects and ongoing workload, we are seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer, Rolling Stock, to join our Perth Rail and Mass Transit team. This role involves working on rail projects across passenger and heavy haul sectors. It is based in Perth, and relocation is required.
You will play a key role in building the Rolling Stock capability in Perth, Australia, and New Zealand, working within a large, diverse, and highly skilled team to help our clients bring ideas to life. Your responsibilities include:
1. Leading production of technical deliverables for Rail and Mass Transit projects.
2. Promoting innovation and applying best engineering practices and design tools.
3. Collaborating with other disciplines to produce high-quality, complex designs.
4. Developing and maintaining client relationships and promoting business development.
5. Working closely with senior professionals, engineers, designers, and drafters to share knowledge and broaden skills.
6. Contributing to our collaborative and high-performing culture.
What are we looking for from you?
You should have a passion for re-imagining problems and continuous learning to help shape the future. We value diverse experiences and teamwork in bringing ideas to life. The ideal candidate will have:
* Extensive experience in Electrical Engineering within the Rolling Stock rail industry.
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of railway design elements, including electrified passenger railways, train design development, and experience in testing, commissioning, or maintenance of rolling stock.
* Proven success working in teams across all project phases, from opportunity pursuit to delivery in Australia.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* A passion for delivering high-quality projects in a collaborative environment.
