If this sounds like something you want to be involved in, we are now looking for a Geology Database Administrator to join the Resource Team in our Corporate office.
The role is permanent full-time, based in our Perth Office on a Monday – Friday roster, with occasional site travel. We believe in balancing life and work and are happy to support flexible working arrangements including working from home options.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Resource Development Manager, this position will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Company geological database, importing and managing all forms of geological and analytical information, producing high-quality maps and plans in QGIS and Leapfrog, and training geological personnel in database software.
About You
Key to success is your strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and within a team, and strong interpersonal skills to proactively communicate with the geology and exploration teams.
Tertiary qualification in the geosciences or a related discipline is preferred but not essential if you have the right skills and experience.
Experience with field/mine geology and/or a strong understanding of sampling, logging, and reporting processes would be ideal.
Experience using geological database management and GIS management software in mining and exploration settings.
High competency with SQL Server database management and software (e.g., acQuire Technology Solutions, DataShed, Geobank Mobile, Microsoft Access, Excel, Word).
Strong knowledge of GIS management software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo).
