About the role
Join the team at Jun's Garage Solutions Pty Ltd as a full-time Light Vehicle Mechanic in Katherine South, NT. In this role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a variety of light vehicles, ensuring customers receive high-quality service and get back on the road safely.
What you'll be doing
1. Inspect and diagnose issues with light vehicles such as cars, SUVs, and light commercials
2. Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs to manufacturer specifications
3. Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex faults
4. Maintain detailed records of all work undertaken
5. Liaise with customers to understand their vehicle concerns and provide recommendations
6. Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment
What we're looking for
1. Formal automotive trade qualification (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
2. 3+ years' experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
4. Sound knowledge of light vehicle systems and repairs
5. Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers
6. Commitment to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Applicants must have valid Australian work rights
