An excellent opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory at a private hospital in Melbourne.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As the CNE, you will join the cutting-edge Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, staffed by teams of experienced nurses, radiographers and highly skilled cardiologists, providing a comprehensive suite of on-site cardiac services to the patients.
You will be facilitating and effectively managing clinical education and competency programs across the cardiac areas. You will also provide educational support and advice to postgraduate students. The role encompasses planning, implementing and evaluating practices, processes and services related to clinical education. You will be required to work with and support management in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA;
- At least 5 years of experience in an acute hospital environment with proven Catheter Laboratory experience will be **essential** for this role;
- Previous experience in a clinical leadership capacity or as a CNS will be highly regarded;
- Any post-graduate qualifications will be highly regarded;
- Exceptional communication skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with weekend and evening shifts will also be key for this role.

**ABOUT THE FACILITY**
Hospital, located in Inner Northeastern Melbourne, is an acute Medical/Surgical facility with 11 Operating Theatres. Services offered include Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, General Medicine, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Oncology, Orthopaedics, Urology and Gynaecology. The unit provides a comprehensive suite of cardiac services to the patients. Specialised vascular procedures are also performed. Some Cardiovascular and Vascular procedures include Coronary Angiograms, Angioplasty and Stenting, Pacemaker Insertion, EPS and ablations, and Endovascular procedures.
The Cardiac Cath Lab conducts various cardiovascular procedures, including Coronary Angiograms, Angioplasties, and Pacemaker Insertion.
