Key Role: Registered and Enrolled Nurses
As a Registered or Enrolled Nurse, you will play a vital part in our Day Surgery Admissions Unit. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare patients for day procedures, discharge them post-procedure, and provide education on what to expect.
Responsibilities
* Work between all areas in DOSA - Admissions, Pre-op Hold & 2nd/3rd Stage Recovery
* Prepare patients undergoing day procedures before their entry into theatre
* Discharge patients' post-procedure and provide education on what to expect
* Ensure high-quality care is delivered to all our patients
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will require:
* Current registration with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
* Minimum two years of post-graduate experience in an acute care setting
* Recent experience in Day Surgery or Surgical Wards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

The Hospital
Our hospital offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and day services across a wide range of specialties. The Hospital operates state-of-the-art facilities including 9 operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an intensive care unit/coronary care unit and a day therapy unit.
