The Opportunity:
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated laborer/Forklift driver to join our high performing team in a Casual capacity with opportunity for a long term permanent role. Our headquarters are based in Wingfield, South Australia.
This is a Monday to Friday position, with overtime as needed to meet project commitments
For the right candidate this is the opportunity for a long-term career with an innovative and experienced team, fabricating steel products on some of South Australia's highest profile projects.
Duties:
Duties will include
* unloading deliveries, checking items against invoices, using equipment like forklifts and overhead cranes, managing inventory, and preparing orders for customers or other departments.
* Providing hands-on support to skilled tradespeople by performing labouring tasks, maintaining worksites and tools, and operating hand and power tools under supervision.
* Key responsibilities include preparing and cleaning work areas, fetching and preparing materials, and adhering to safety protocols on construction, mining, or manufacturing sites. This role is ideal for motivated, hard-working individual with strong communication skills who are eager to learn and gain practical, on-the-job experience in a specific trade.
About you:
The successful candidate must have the following:
* Forklift licence
* Drivers licence
* Ability to load trucks and couriers.
* Experience operating overhead cranes
* Organize delivery's and pickups.
* Track incoming and outgoing materials.
* Keep workshop and yard tidy.
* Have a cooperative team attitude and strong work ethic.
* Strong commitment to safety.
* Efficient and time focused.
The following will be considered favourably:
* Experience in steel workshops
* rigging or dogman ticket
Suitable candidates who progress to the next stage of the interview process will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test. Upon successful completion, a position will be offered to join our team.
