At Hullbot we're on a mission to decarbonise the global maritime industry.
We're delivering autonomous underwater robots that inspect and clean ship hulls. Hullbot's systems are actively deployed in locations around the world, maintaining hulls free of biofouling, reducing fuel use and cutting emissions.
United by a shared ambition to create environmental impact on a global scale, we move fast and solve complex technical challenges together.
If you want to work on real robotic solutions with measurable impact, solving one of the world's biggest environmental challenges, Hullbot is the place to do it.
The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Production Coordinator to own day‐to‐day production execution at Hullbot.
You'll be responsible for making sure robot modules and assemblies are built safely, on time, and to the required quality standard. This means coordinating technicians, confirming build readiness, maintaining production discipline, and ensuring released work instructions, correct parts, test procedures, and documentation are followed.
This role is focused on creating a good production rhythm. You won't be expected to redesign the product or own NPI (new product introduction). Instead, you'll help ensure the production team can execute consistently while the NPI team focuses on manufacturing readiness, engineering changes, suppliers, reliability, and future scaling.
What You'll Do
* Convert build priorities into clear daily tasks for the production team.
* Allocate work, manage handovers, check progress, and keep technicians focused on priority jobs.
* Track progress against production targets and escalate delays early.
* Confirm parts, tools, instructions, test equipment, and workspace are ready before work starts.
* Ensure technicians follow released work instructions, inspection points, and test procedures.
* Maintain complete build records, serial numbers, test results, rework notes, and production tracking.
* Coordinate with inventory and supply chain so parts shortages are visible before they block production.
* Route blockers to the correct owner rather than letting production improvise unclear fixes.
* Receive new or updated build processes from the NPI team and make sure they are executed consistently.
* Support technicians, set expectations, maintain floor discipline, and create a calm, practical production rhythm.
* Capture production pain points and feed them back to NPI without derailing daily output.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production environment
What We're Looking For
* Experience in hands‐on production, assembly, manufacturing, workshop, robotics, electronics, or mechanical systems.
* Ability to coordinate a small technical team.
* Strong discipline around documentation, quality, and following released processes.
* Practical problem‐solving skills, with the judgement to elevate issues rather than improvise uncontrolled fixes.
* Confidence working with engineers, technicians, supply chain, operations, and other cross‐functional teams.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and keep the production floor moving.
* Strong ownership of daily execution
You'll Thrive Here If You...
* Like being close to the build and enjoy making production flow smoothly.
* Are organized, practical, and comfortable bringing structure to a fast‐moving technical environment.
* Care about quality, traceability, documentation, and doing things the right way.
* Can balance urgency with discipline, especially when blockers appear.
* Communicate clearly with technicians, engineers, supply chain, maintenance, and service teams.
* Enjoy creating calm, predictable execution in an environment where priorities can change quickly.
* Take pride in helping a team deliver real hardware that gets deployed in the field.
Bonus Experience
* Experience working with robotics, electromechanical systems, electronics, marine technology, or complex hardware products.
* Familiarity with production handover from NPI or engineering teams.
* Experience with electronics test, bring‐up, PCBA issues, flashing, firmware deployment, or configuration control.
* Experience working with inventory, kitting, parts shortages, rework, maintenance, or service‐linked build priorities.
* Exposure to traceability, serialized builds, test records, or production documentation systems
Why Hullbot?
* See your work be brought to life, deployed solving real world problems
* High ownership and influence over daily production execution in a small, tight‐knit team.
* Work on advanced underwater robotic systems that help vessel owners maintain cleaner hulls, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize environmental impact.
* Help scale production of a product already deployed worldwide.
* Fast iteration cycles and hands‐on problem solving in a collaborative hardware and robotics environment.
* Opportunities for rapid learning and personal development.
