Proterra Group is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Rubbish Pick-Up Attendant to assist with keeping the Longreach Waste Facility clean, safe, and well-maintained.
This position would suit someone looking to gain experience in waste facility and machinery operations, or a school parent seeking work during school hours. Further training and development opportunities are available for the right applicant.
About the role:
This role involves general litter and rubbish pick-up across the waste facility to ensure a tidy and safe environment for staff and the public each Wednesday for 5 hours.
This role may also require you to work extra hours in the Gate House as necessary. Competent computer skills are advantageous.
Key duties include:
* Collecting loose rubbish and litter around the waste facility
* Assisting with general site cleanliness and presentation
* Identifying and reporting hazards or safety issues
* Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times
About you:
* Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Safety-conscious with good attention to detail
* Previous experience in cleaning, labouring, or waste management is an advantage but not essential
