The Role
We are seeking a full-time Court Monitor to work in our Darwin office to produce high-quality recordings and annotations of court proceedings for our major contracts. Comprehensive training and support will be provided. Monitors are responsible for recording proceedings and producing an annotation or log of those proceedings to aid in the process of accurate transcription. Proceedings may take place on site in courtrooms or at client premises, or may be recorded from an Epiq office.
Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Produce high quality audio recordings of hearings
* Input and manage integrity of data in various databases
* Produce accurate and detailed annotations of hearings to aid transcription
* Liaise with court staff and key stakeholders
What we're looking for
* Candidates who are willing to work from our Darwin offices, as well as travel to regional locations for recording proceedings when required.
* High attention to detail.
* Ability to lift and set up heavy equipment when required (up to 30KG).
* Ability to work full-time, Monday – Friday, with willingness to work outside of standard business hours when required.
* Full working rights in Australia.
* Must be willing to undertake a security clearance.
* Current driver’s licence and vehicle desirable.
* Administration experience favourable.
* Technical experience in recording, sound production, and technological experience desirable.
