About the Senior Ecommerce Performance Strategist role
This is a senior, client-facing strategist role. You will own a portfolio of ecommerce accounts and deliver end-to-end performance strategies that balance acquisition, retention and profitability. You'll set media and optimisation direction, translate business goals into channel plans, lead campaign execution with specialists, and present clear commercial recommendations to clients.
What you'll do
* Lead strategy and planning across paid social, search, programmatic and CRM to hit customer acquisition and LTV targets.
* Turn data into action: set tracking, run cohort analysis, test hypotheses and iterate quickly to improve conversion rates and return on ad spend.
* Partner directly with clients to shape roadmaps, set KPIs and present results in plain language.
* Guide creative direction and CRO experiments so ads, landing pages and flows convert more efficiently.
* Coach and coordinate a small team of performance specialists and external partners to deliver flawless execution.
* Own monthly reporting, forecasting and recommendations that drive commercial outcomes.
What you bring
* 3+ years running ecommerce performance campaigns, ideally in an agency or multi-client environment.
* Strong practical knowledge of Meta and Google platforms and experience with tag management, server-side tracking or clean analytics setups.
* Solid understanding of CRM lifecycle marketing and experience with email/SMS platforms.
* Comfortable with CRO principles and A/B testing frameworks.
* Data-first mindset: you can read reports, build simple dashboards and make decisions from imperfect data.
* Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A commercial focus: you care about margin, unit economics and sustainable growth, not just vanity metrics.
* Based in, or willing to travel to, Sydney or Adelaide for key meetings and team events. Full work rights in Australia required.
