**How will I help?**
This is an exciting opportunity in the Treasury Risk function to support the Group Treasury team in managing capital adequacy risk across the Group and supporting on the Group's Recovery and Exit planning.
The Capital Risk and Recovery Planning team has high impact and visibility, you will be working to identify, measure and monitor key risks and providing oversight to Group Treasury on Capital related topics. You will also provide thought leadership through driving the Groups Recovery Plan, working across a number of divisions.
This role will require insightful and data-driven analysis, forward-looking approaches, and collaborative execution of the second line mandate. With the changing Regulatory Landscape on both Capital and Recovery Planning, there is great opportunity to drive key discussions with multiple stakeholders across the Group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the Executive Manager, Capital Risk & Recovery Planning in fulfilling the Risk purpose to provide leading risk oversight, insight and control
- Enable the capital risk team to conduct appropriate review and challenge of business proposals including the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and other capital related activities, such as
- Analyse and investigate trends and variances in capital risk metrics
- Develop and maintain analytical tools used for risk analysis
- Contribute to development of the Capital Risk policies
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop and maintain relationships where you will not only provide expert insights but also influence decisions through preparation and delivery of board papers, committee papers and continual improvement of the Recovery Plan by proactively researching and adopting industry / global best practices

**What do I need?**
You'll bring relevant and thorough Treasury (or capital) risk experience (either line 1 or 2) and working knowledge of bank capital management and prudential risk topics.
You will be liaising with cross functional teams, group risk, and wider teams; as well as with varied levels of seniority. It is imperative you bring excellent communication skills in both written and verbal platform combined with the ability to present information articulately both formally and informally.
Lastly, a proven experience in meeting deliverables and tracking objectives will be highly desirable, as a pragmatic mindset combined with apt problem solving will ensure success across both team and individual deadlines.
