As LMA continues to expand its portfolios in Australia we continue to seek and grow our Engineering Project Management pool who provide oversight of our complex engineering projects and Integrated Product Teams across the IAMD, Maritime, GWEO and Aeronautics portfolios. The ideal candidates will have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record in delivering large-scale projects to technical compliance, on time and within budget. Responsibilities for these roles are:
· Lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects in the Maritime and/or Aero domain, ensuring timely completion while adhering to budget and quality standards.
· Develop detailed project plans, coordinate with various stakeholders, and manage project risks and issues.
· Effectively manage project scope, schedules, resources, quality, and risks.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that project milestones are met.
· Manage project budgets, identify potential cost reductions, and track expenditures.
· Conduct regular status updates and progress reports to senior management and project sponsors.
· Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations and standards within the Maritime and Aero domains.
· Foster positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
· Implement best practices in project management, document processes, and share lessons learned.
· Mentor and develop junior project managers and team members.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will also have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Naval, Aerospace, or similar) or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8+ years of experience in engineering project management within the Maritime or Aero industry.
* Proven track record leading and delivering large, complex engineering projects.
* Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent).
* Strong technical understanding of Maritime or Aero engineering principles.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, make critical decisions, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Experience with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SAP Project System).
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
