About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead critical market counterparty and client credit reviews, apply lending terms and conditions, and manage credit monitoring and reporting processes.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial stability and operational excellence by leveraging your analytical expertise, research and analysis skills, communication and advocacy abilities, and extensive experience in Market / Counterparty Credit processes and a strong understanding of Client Credit processes and financial markets.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant roles and hold a tertiary qualification in Finance or a related discipline. A Master's level qualification or CFA is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead workstreams within the Market Credit function.
* Assess financial profiles of banks, corporates, government counterparties, and clients.
* Build, manage, and enhance financial databases and spreadsheets.
* Recommend counterparty limits and provide supporting analysis.
* Conduct periodic jurisdictional reviews of market counterparties.
* Monitor exposures against approved limits.
* Manage market counterparty terms and conditions with the Legal team.
* Provide strategic advice on State credit rating and financial provisioning.
* Support client credit reviews, borrowing requests, and capacity assessments.
* Advise the Advisory Division on debt levels and credit metrics.
* Deliver high-level advice to the Board and Executive management.
* Develop relationships with key stakeholders and represent the organization on committees.
Requirements
* Analytical Expertise: Proficient in financial statements, ratios, risk assessment, and financial modelling.
* Research and Analysis: Skilled in financial, economic, industry, and statistical research with high attention to detail.
* Communication and Advocacy: Strong in financial analysis, benchmarking, reporting, and effectively communicating complex information to stakeholders.
* Credit Processes Experience: Extensive experience in Market / Counterparty Credit processes and a strong understanding of Client Credit processes and financial markets.
* Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant roles.
* Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Finance or related discipline (essential).
