The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will:
* Provide anaesthetic services across a broad case mix:
o General surgery
o Orthopaedics
o Obstetrics & gynaecology
o Endoscopy and procedural lists
o Dental and investigative services
* Lead pre‐anaesthetic assessment clinics
* Deliver care to high‐acuity patients, including HDU ward rounds
* Provide advanced procedural care:
o Airway management
o Ventilatory support
o Central venous access
o Acute and perioperative pain management
* Coordinate patient transfers with Retrieval Services Queensland
* Participate in on‐call and after‐hours roster
* Contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement
* Mentor and supervise junior doctors and medical students

Qualifications
* Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
* Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
* Experience at Consultant Anaesthetist level
* Commitment to patient safety, teamwork and clinical excellence
