Ongoing Casual Position Leading Australian Fresh Food manufacturer $38.39 per hour Afternoon shift starting between 2pm - 4pm Monday to Friday with the requirement to work weekends during peak periods TLH Recruitment is proudly representing a manufacturer of fresh foods based in Homebush, they are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Production Team Leader to join their Batching team! This opportunity is an ongoing casual position with the potential to be made permanent for the right person This role will involve assessing all efficiencies, downtime and further improvements for products coming off the lines in the production areas. HOURS OF WORK Monday to Friday with some weekends required Start time between 2pm - 4pm Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the batching team to ensure production targets and quality standards are met Coordinate daily batching activities in line with production schedules Complete accurate and timely data entry for batching records, production reports, and system updates Ensure strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety requirements Enforce workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices Monitor raw material usage, batch accuracy, and adherence to formulations Communicate and coordinate effectively with production, quality, warehouse, maintenance, and planning departments Train, coach, and manage team members, including performance monitoring and feedback Identify and escalate issues related to quality, safety, equipment, or staffing to the Supervisor Support continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications: Previous food manufacturing experience Completed GMP training course Knowledge, Experience and Essential Personal Requirements: At least 3 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferable FMCG Attention to detail – can adhere to systems and processes. Good written and communication skills.
