About In The Making
We're a PR and comms agency that's big on heart, high standards, and huge ideas. Headquartered in Brisbane (with a footprint in Melbourne), we work across traditional PR, brand campaigns, social content and creative strategy - and we don't sit still for long.
Our current client list includes brands like Savers Australia, Expedia Group, Australian Road Safety Foundation, Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section), Suntory Oceania, Tourism & Events Queensland, Century Yuasa Batteries, Friendship Tree and Legacy Livestock.

The Role
We're on the lookout for an experienced, proactive and creative PR operator to join our Brisbane team. It's a hybrid role (2–3 days in office, the rest WFH or wherever you work best), ideal for someone who's confident working autonomously but excels in a small, tight‑knit, high‑energy environment.
This role is for someone who's ready to lead accounts, loves the thrill of a great story, and doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves to make it happen.
Responsibilities
* Be the daily go-to for key clients, building strong relationships and bringing fresh ideas
* Write compelling press releases, pitches, bios, briefings and social content
* Ideate and execute media campaigns with local and national cut‑through
* Nurture media and influencer relationships (and know when to just pick up the phone)
* Bring structure and calm to timelines, budgets and reporting
* Help guide and grow junior team members (because mentorship matters)
What You Bring
* 3–5 years of PR agency experience (in‑house welcome if it's fast‑paced and media‑led)
* A sharp sense of what makes news – and the clips to prove it
* Initiative in spades – you follow through, not just follow up
* Curiosity, creativity and an instinct for a great story
* Time management superpowers (you get things done and stay calm doing it)
* Bonus points if you've worked on purpose‑led brands or in health, tourism, retail or lifestyle
