Responsibilities Join a highly respected capital management firm with a strong reputation for supporting the agricultural sector through responsible lending and innovative credit solutions; benefit from a culture that values collaboration, professional development, and employee wellbeing.Enjoy flexible working opportunities including work-from-home equipment, generous superannuation contributions, four weeks of annual leave per year, and a monthly mobile allowance to support your productivity both in the office and remotely.Be part of a knowledgeable team where your experience in financial analysis and credit risk assessment will be valued; receive ongoing training opportunities and support for career progression within a stable, growth-oriented organisation.Engage with obligors, brokers, third-party service providers such as farmland and equipment valuators, as well as internal relationship managers to structure credit facilities tailored to client needs.Conduct thorough credit underwriting for new customers by completing applications, validating information, performing comprehensive credit searches, legal checks, KYC reviews, financial analysis, preparing detailed credit papers, and presenting findings to the Investment Committee.Manage facility renewals and re-underwriting processes by preparing updated credit documentation and presenting recommendations to the Investment Committee for approval.Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer portfolio files by ensuring all relevant data is recorded promptly and securely for compliance purposes.Perform periodic reviews of obligor exposures, monitor covenant compliance, assess overall portfolio quality, and identify emerging risks that may impact the business or clients.Escalate any identified credit risks in a timely manner to ensure proactive risk management across the portfolio.Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies, risk appetite guidelines, and industry best practices at all times.Collaborate closely with legal teams to support the preparation of facility documentation and manage execution of variations following Investment Committee approvals.Onboard new obligor facilities into the Loan Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate setup of securities, collaterals, KYC details, pricing structures, and related modules are completed efficiently.Support reporting functions across Middle Office and Finance departments as required while contributing to special projects that enhance operational effectiveness.
What you bring Minimum five years' experience in a similar analytical or credit-focused role within banking or agricultural finance environments is essential for success in this position.Demonstrated expertise in financial statement analysis-including cashflow modelling-and debt serviceability assessment is required to effectively evaluate client applications.Strong commercial acumen combined with excellent interpersonal skills enables you to interact considerately with brokers and clients while structuring appropriate credit solutions.Proven track record within the agri-sector or broader banking industry is essential; familiarity with agricultural finance products or commodities markets is highly regarded.Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or a related discipline provide a solid foundation for understanding complex transactions.High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite supports efficient report preparation; experience using Equifax or EDX platforms is advantageous but not mandatory.Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems would be beneficial for managing client relationships effectively.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary for preparing clear reports and presenting recommendations confidently to committees.Meticulous attention to detail ensures accuracy when maintaining portfolio records or onboarding new facilities into loan management systems.Eligibility as an Australian citizen or permanent resident is required due to regulatory obligations.
