Sprinkler Fitters / Electrician or Fire Alarm Technician MUST HAVE QBCC SPECIAL HAZARDS

Full-time | $110,000 – $160,000 per year + OT + Benefits
We’re looking for qualified Sprinkler Fitters / Electricians / Fire Alarm Technicians to join a growing team supporting major clients in the Mackay, Coalfields, and regional Queensland areas. The role is set up as a FIFO role from within QLD. Must Have Special Hazards QBCC License.
Working across installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire protection systems, you’ll help safeguard critical infrastructure while gaining highly valued industry skills.
You’ll be working with systems such as:
* Fire alarms (including evacuation and emergency lighting)
* VESDA & gaseous fire suppression
* Special hazards (QBCC License Install and Maintain)
Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, service, and maintain fire protection systems
* Troubleshoot faults and ensure compliance with Australian Standards
* Recommend upgrades and improvements to client systems
* Accurately report work progress, KPIs, and site compliance
* Travel to sites across regional Queensland as needed
About You
* QBCC licence Special Hazards - Maintain and Install (must Have)
* QLD Electrical License (nice to have but not essential)
* Fire systems experience
* Able to work 5/2, 4/3, or 7/7 rosters (local, FIFO or DIDO)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Drivers License
* Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Nice to have (but not required):
* Knowledge of AS 1851, AS 1670, AS 3000
* Familiarity with brands like Notifier, Vigilant, or other major systems
* Coal Board Medical, Standard 11, and relevant inductions
