As part of our I2S project, we're seeking an experienced professional to join our team.
This role will be based in our Mascot Office until construction commences in September 2025. After that, it will transition to a 2-1 roster role, with a base in the project office in Cootamundra.
As a Senior People Advisor, you'll be responsible for business partnering with managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Your focus will be on developing a diverse, engaged, and high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role
* Partner with project leaders to make recommendations on recruitment and selection, talent assessments, succession planning, performance management, performance reviews, remuneration, and people mobility and demobilisation.
* Consult and liaise with the Business Unit People Manager and General Manager to implement effective People strategies.
* Drive employee engagement and retention by developing and implementing culture and wellbeing initiatives. You'll also support leaders with career management.
* Engage with TfNSW, subcontractors, and community organizations to develop a diverse workforce and achieve social inclusion and social procurement targets.
* Provide leadership and mentoring to the People Coordinator and People Graduate to deliver team goals and contribute to their professional development.
* Supervise the on-boarding process and induction training for new employees.
* Identify training and development needs within the project, which may include assisting in the development of training materials and facilitating programs.
* Provide data, information, and progress reports related to human resource activities to support continuous improvement.
* Facilitate meetings and prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead project work through researching, designing, implementing, and delivering HR initiatives.
Qualifications
Essential - Post-secondary school training or TAFE certificate in HR, IR/ER, Education, Psychology, or Business.
Typical - Degree or higher in Business, Human Resource Management, Legal, Finance, or other associated disciplines.
Key Experience
* Experience in championing social inclusion, transformation, health, and wellbeing.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of national and state regulatory frameworks.
* Knowledge of contractual and commercial awareness.
* Knowledge of employment legislation, including government policy.
* Experience in HR project work, leading an initiative or desired outcome.
* Experience managing a subordinate, such as a HR Administrator or HR Coordinator.
About You
* Willing to DIDO or relocate within an hour's commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.
