Job Overview
This role is centered around verifying the weight and density of shipments, with a primary focus on classification. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections within trailers and on the dock, requiring regular climbing in and out of trailers from ground level. Safety protocols must be followed at all times to prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop effective relationships with colleagues to promote teamwork and morale.
* Ensure that work practices are prioritized to maintain a safe working environment.
* Work effectively in a non-temperature controlled environment with potential loud and dusty conditions.
* Perform inspections within trailers and on the dock, requiring regular climbing in and out of trailers from ground level.
* Walk and stand for extended periods, and carry or pick up freight to complete inspection tasks.
* Process and review reports to identify revenue recovery opportunities, involving data entry and auditing duties.
* Conduct thorough inspections of shipments, documenting commodity information, taking photos and recording dimensions.
* Cross-reference Bill Of Lading information to ensure accuracy.
* Enter correct data into the AS400 system to document accurate class, weight and dimensions for revenue recovery.
* Upload photos onto the computer or flash drive for future reference.
* Stay up-to-date with current NMFC provisions, including rules and packaging guidelines.
* Perform additional duties as required or requested.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Making informed decisions in a fast-paced work environment.
* Knowledge of the LTL industry and/or W&R is desirable.
* Demonstrating leadership, communication and administrative skills.
* Able to work flexible shifts and hours.
