Salary: $118,200.00 Per Annum Paid on a Pro-Rata basis + Super + Salary Packaging Benefits (up to 15,899 tax-free per FBT year)

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Projects Consultant with strong project management and design consultancy expertise to join our dynamic team delivering Complex Home Modifications and Building Consultancy services within the NDIS space.

This role is based in Bunbury serving clients in the South West of Western Australia and regional South West locations. Regular travel across the region is required, along with possible travel to Perth. You will work closely with our Building Projects Consultant based in Perth to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with regulatory, quality, and funding requirements.

You will manage projects in two stages. The first being design and funding submission to the NDIS and then again with project management of third party builders. Project Management role involves pre-start meetings, final sign off on works and resolving building-related issues as they arise. This role plays a critical part in achieving high-quality, compliant outcomes for participants requiring complex home modifications in the NDIS space.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct joint site and home assessments with Home Modification Assessors (including Complex Home Modification OTs) to determine participant needs, project viability, scope, limitations, and functional requirements.
* Develop compliant scopes of work and concept designs in accordance with the National Construction Code (NCC), relevant Australian Standards, NDIS operational guidelines and applicable building regulations.
* Manage projects end-to-end, including site inspections, coordination with builders and stakeholders, and resolution of building issues.
* Monitor construction progress to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with all regulatory and project requirements.
* Maintain accurate project documentation using records management systems and scheduling software.
* Work collaboratively with metropolitan-based team members while maintaining a strong on-ground presence across South West regional areas.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

* A Registered Building Practitioner
* Demonstrated construction experience, particularly in renovation works
* A demonstrated understanding of the relevant Australian Standards and compliance requirements applicable to home modifications
* Understanding of the NDIS system is desirable
* Strong organisational, time, and workload management skills
* Attention to detail and high-level analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work in collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
* Willingness to travel to regional; overnight stays may be required (accommodation provided)
* Desirable to have drawings skills (Revit software)
* Valid WA Drivers License
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
