What you need to know...

• permanent full time - 76 hours per fortnight

• the package: $57,955 to $69,112 plus superannuation per annum

• location: Townsend, NSW

• access to fitness passport

• 9 day fortnight

About the role

Council delivers a large amount of infrastructural construction and maintenance work every year. We are seeking a reliable Field Operator (Traffic Facilities) to undertake traffic facility and general maintenance works across the local government area.

Key duties include:

• Installing and maintaining road signs, roadside furniture and road markings

• Operating plant and equipment safely and competently

• Ensuring all works comply with WHS, legislative and quality standards

• Completing required documentation and reporting asset conditions

• Liaising with supervisors, team members and the public

This role suits a safety-focused team player who takes pride in quality workmanship and efficient service delivery. There are some physical requirements such as prolonged standing, working in difficult terrain, driving, and manual handling.

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Townsend Depot however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
